Merrillville, Indiana 46410 in central Lake County is a hub of retail business along Route 30, including car dealerships, restaurants, hotels, and many big-box stores. Originally a clearing in the woods for Potowanomi Indian ceremonies, the town grew to be the most populated in the state at about 35,000 residents. In-town entertainment, hospitals, colleges and jobs combined with it’s central location and easy access to major highways make Merrillville a popular town.
