Northgate Park is a large park located in the Northgate neighborhood, with many amenities. A large playground with shade trees, many ball fields, tennis courts, pavilion and even a sledding hill for the winter!

Public Transportation Near Northgate Subdivision In Dyer
Northgate Subdivision is perfectly located within easy walking distance to take advantage of two train systems: The Amtrak and the West Lake South Shore (projected opening coming in 2025).

Dyer Amtrak Station
The Dyer Amtrak Station is located directly next door to the west side of the Northgate neighborhood. A frequent local route is the Amtrak Cardinal line, which travels to Union Stations in Chicago and Indianapolis.
Dyer South Shore Station
The West Lake South Shore Station is currently under construction and will be completed in 2025. The South Shore train will run as far north as downtown Chicago and all the way east to the South Bend Airport.

Northgate Park does have a lot to offer! We lived in Dyer for many years and would frequent Northgate Park. The park improvements from a couple years ago where all the playground equipment was upgraded and the rubber flooring was installed to replaced the wood chips made the park much more fun for my kids (and for me). Nice article!

Yes, I fell in love with Northgate when I sold a house over there! I went to elementary with a Tina Anzur in Griffith in the 70s! Northgate reminds me of our old neighborhood – nice, insular place to be a kid in, albeit no park.
